A supportive space for navigating and working through moments of change and uncertainty in your life.
Take a deep breath…
You don’t have to do it alone anymore!
Are you feeling…
-
by all the things that have piled up on your plate while at the same time, not being able to address any of them because as the list gets longer and longer, you just find yourself feeling more distracted, exhausted and unfocused
-
about a new medical diagnosis, the progression of your illness and wondering how you are going to learn to live with an illness, rather than letting it define you
-
of everyone saying how strong you are and how great you look, when inside you feel like you are on an emotional rollercoaster
-
that overwhelms you when you least expect it and that feels like it will last forever
-
because this wonderful life event you have waited and planned for (graduation, new job, marriage, babies, retirement) “should” feel great but instead has you feeling a bit lost
-
because you don’t want to be a burden to others, or you feel misunderstood and fear that friends and family just can’t understand your struggles
For too long, you have been struggling to manage everything on your own and be everything to everyone but now realize that you can’t do it alone anymore.
You want to feel more grounded, but don't know where to start.
Reaching out for support doesn’t mean that you have failed.
Hi, I’m Carolina! With over 20 years of experience working with adults who are living or caring for a loved one with an illness, grieving a loss, going through a big life transition or feeling burnt out, I’m here to listen and ready to support you. People come to me for help in navigating the anxiety, sadness or stress that this new chapter in their lives is creating and we work together to find the confidence and strength to move forward.
Therapy with me is a collaborative process.
We will start with where you are at, and then work together to explore your past, work through present challenges, learn some new things about yourself and develop skills for the future. I don’t know it all, or have all the answers, but I will support and work with you so that you can walk away feeling a bit lighter, more confident and less alone on your journey.

When you or a loved one receive a life changing medical diagnosis (including Parkinson’s, Cancer and Alzheimer’s Disease), it can be hard to process it immediately. Often, it’s the “AFTER” that really hits hard and leaves us feeling lost and unsure about how to move forward.
Dealing with fears, concerns and questions all while learning to navigate a new life can be challenging. However, your illness doesn’t define you. It can take time to process and grieve the life you had and what you imagined for yourself, but together we can work towards understanding a “new normal”.

After a loss, the months on the calendar continue to change but sometimes it feels like things for us stopped and we got a bit frozen in time. You know that there is no “one-way” to grieve but you feel like you “should” be further along in the process.
Therapy can give you the space to work through a loss with no judgment and no ticking clock. Remember, you never “get over it” or “move on”, but you will learn to work through it.

BIG changes in our life can cause us to experience BIG emotions. Whether it was something you were excited and anxiously anticipating, or whether the change was unplanned and not your choice, the way that you are responding to it is VALID.
Let me help you navigate this new chapter in your life by supporting and empowering you through it.

When it feels like your gas tank is empty and you are running on fumes, everything else in your life can start to feel more difficult and even the simplest tasks begin to feel too big.
You are doing the best that you can, but feel stretched thin, overwhelmed and like you are just barely “pushing through”.
It’s important to remember that if you want to continue to care for others, you must take care of yourself first. It’s not selfish to take care of you!
Let’s work together…

I believe that finding the right therapist is like finding a missing puzzle piece. Click this link to schedule a free consultation call so that we can get to know a little bit more about one another and see if we are a good fit.

As we get started in our work together, I like to remind everyone that therapy is like a good soup…it tastes better after several days (sessions). Don’t worry if it feels strange at first or if you don’t know where to start, we will get there together.

Enjoy 1 hour a week that is all yours, to be seen, heard and supported. If down the road you want to switch to biweekly or even monthly check-in sessions because you are feeling better, that is something that will always be available to you.
You’re not alone.
Let me help you lessen the load.
I believe we all carry an invisible backpack with us and our daily challenges, concerns and hardships fill up this bag. As the bag gets heavier, it can become difficult to keep moving forward and we can get stuck. It is important to empty that bookbag from time to time and that is where I come in.
