Meet Carolina Hoires, LCSW, Online therapist in Miami & across FL & NY
Helping you move through uncertainty and navigate life’s challenges.
At this moment, you may be feeling a bit lost as you grapple with feelings of grief, overwhelm, anxiety, or burnout. Let’s work together to navigate those emotions and find a path forward that feels manageable and hopeful.
I work with adults—those living or caring for someone with an acute or chronic illness, grieving a loss or navigating a big life transition—to allow them to have a space to laugh, cry, express anger, frustrations and hope. Whatever you are feeling is welcome here!
This might be the very first time you have ever considered therapy, or maybe you have tried it before but just didn’t feel like it was very helpful. Maybe you are coming to therapy knowing exactly what the problem is, or maybe you are not so sure but you know that something isn’t “right”, and you are ready for a change.
Whichever boat you are in, I’m here to help you.
Imagine waking up each morning and not dreading the day ahead? What if you could conquer whatever is thrown your way because you know that you have someone who will listen, who will not judge you and who will meet you right where you are at? Let’s work together to overcome what is challenging you and to better understand what tools you will need to overcome similar challenges in the future. If you are ready to take the next step, I’m ready to get started.
A place to show up as your true self…
I believe that everyone needs a space to drop their guard and truly express themselves. Talking with friends and family is great, reading self-help books and podcasts is wonderful, but nothing can compare to a person who will sit with you during the hard times and let you truly feel how you are feeling. I know that may sound scary and overwhelming, but we have to be able to sit with those feelings and “work through the muck” to be able to come out the other side.
I like to use humor and show up in the most genuine way I can to our sessions. In return, I ask that you allow yourself to be open, honest and vulnerable, no matter how scary that sounds. Therapy with me provides a supportive environment for growth and healing. It also provides a space that is all yours, to slow down, take a breath, check in with your body and process what you are going through.
What it’s like to work with me
During our sessions, I will be curious, compassionate and collaborative.
We will start off by meeting weekly and will explore what brought you here and what you hope to achieve. We will check in periodically to make sure that we are on track and that you are feeling like this is beneficial and helpful to you. I will not rush you but will encourage you to share at your comfort level so that you can have the space you need to work through things. I will challenge you at times, ask you questions and help you possibly look at things from a different perspective.
There is no “one-way” or “right way” to do therapy.
This is your process, but what is important is that you are open to doing the work and that you feel a connection and trust with your therapist. Ultimately, it’s all about personal growth, understanding yourself better and discovering your own resiliency.
Therapy with me is…
-
This will be a space that is all yours, to slow down, take a breath, check in with your body and process what you are going through. Therapy with me provides a supportive environment for growth and healing.
-
It’s important that I understand not only what has currently brought you to therapy, but that we also take time to understand what role your life experiences play in the challenges that you are facing. Ultimately, it’s all about personal growth, understanding yourself better and building upon your own resiliency.
-
I will work with you to explore thoughts, feelings and behaviors, navigate difficult emotions and identify patterns that may be getting in your way. Together, we will develop coping strategies that can help you gain new perspectives and feel more empowered to make changes no matter what challenges you are facing.
